Historically, Sovicille is a place of transit, a real crossroads of cultural itineraries. From there you can easily visit Siena, San Giminiano, Volterra, Monteriggioni, San Galgano and Chiusdino, Crete Senesi, (Montalcino, Montepulciano, Pienza, Asciano), Val D ‘ Orcia (Bagno Vignoni, Bagni S.Filippo, S.Quirico D’Orcia).
Other less famous but equally characteristic and interesting places, that you could reached by walk or on a cycling excursion are the castle of Celsa, the Romitorio, the ‘Eremo della Pernina, the Cloister of the Abbey of Torri and many others.
